JOINERY
Here at Calshot we are home to a team of highly skilled joiners, carpenters, and boatbuilders in our newly restored facilities boasting a state-of-the-art machine shop. Woodwork is in our roots, from conception, design, manufacture through to delivery. We pride ourselves on the sensitivity afforded to each project and the use of reclaimed materials to give classic looks blended with our contemporary view to create timeless pieces. We have a successful track record in our marine outfit and boatbuilding section from superyachts to bespoke classics covering both beautiful, tactile interiors through to elegant and robust exteriors.
ELECTRICAL
Calshot’s highly experienced electrical team offer a wide portfolio of skills including industrial power distribution, marine power management, advanced control and monitoring systems, integrated navigation equipment, bespoke panel building and custom-made, tailored entertainment packages.
PAINT
Our paint department can offer a wide range of industrial services, including all aspects of surface preparation from blasting ships to restoration of historic buildings and application of protective coatings in house or on site.
The team use a large in house spray booth on site for airless and conventional spraying of wood or steel to ensure quality control throughout. The team have an abrasive blasting capability to remove coatings or prepare steel as well as environmentally friendly ultra high pressure water jetting for concrete cutting and coating removal.
Restoration and treatment of woods plus cold patination treatments to blacken steel achieve numerous different patinas for truly original finishes.
FABRICATION
Calshot has a large, dedicated engineering fabrication team with many years’ experience, resulting in a level of quality and durability that represents the values and excellence the company strives for. Our fabrication team are adept at either land or marine based restoration projects, taking pride in reinstating the structural integrity that brings a project robust new life. Our design CAD team work with clients to ensure their vision becomes a reality. We use a wide range of materials and thicknesses from 1 mm-60 mm thick steel plus different types and grades of materials - mild steel, high strength steel, stainless, aluminium and bronze. We produce tanks and small fabrications such as seating, staircases and bespoke metal work and our strong team of coded welders enables a wide range of welding capabilities.
MECHANICAL
The Calshot Group’s mechanical department is world class in terms of bespoke restoration and modernisation projects with all installation, commissioning and delivery challenges undertaken. The team is broken into three sections: marine engineering fitters, hotel systems engineering and piping systems engineering.
Our marine engineering fitters take pride working with classic and modern engineering systems. They are capable of new and old mechanical removals and installations.
The hotel systems engineers install domestic piping, heating and ventilation systems to the highest standards and ensure seamless integration with optimum usability and comfort in mind.
Our pipe systems engineers are experienced in all manufacture and installation of varied piping systems. A large range of piping materials are utilised with practicality and aesthetic appeal in mind.
